2. Which data does the app process?

• Location data: The app may use approximate and precise location data to load nearby virtual lands/territories on the map and enable location-based gameplay actions.
• Player ID: The app creates a random player ID locally for guest play. This ID is not a real name and is used to technically assign territory ownership and game progress.
• Gameplay actions: When a territory is captured, the territory ID and player ID may be sent to the game server.
• Step / activity data: If the player uses the Hero feature, the app may request Activity Recognition permission and read step-count data from the device step counter. The game stores Hero progress such as synced step totals, Hero level and skill points.
• Map data: The app loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap or OpenStreetMap-related services so the game map can be displayed.
• Technical connection data: When map or server data is requested, technically necessary connection data such as IP address, time and requested URL may be processed.

3. What is the data used for?

• Displaying the game world and virtual territories around the player.
• Enabling location-based gameplay mechanics.
• Saving and restoring territory ownership in the game.
• Converting step-count changes into Hero XP, Hero levels and skill progression when the player uses step tracking.
• Providing the map view through OpenStreetMap-related services.
• Maintaining reliable and stable app functionality.

Location data is not used for advertising and is not sold.

4. Server and data transfer

The app may contact the Kingdoms GPS RPG server to provide the game world and gameplay functionality.

Location coordinates for nearby territory search, the random player ID and territory IDs may be transferred for gameplay actions.

For the Hero feature, synced step-count totals or step differences, Hero level and assigned skill points may be stored with the game state. The app does not process heart rate, calories, sleep data or workout details.

Data transfer takes place via HTTPS.

5. Advertising, purchases and tracking

• The app currently contains no advertising.
• The app currently contains no in-app purchases.
• The app currently does not use an advertising ID for personalized ads.
• The current app build uses guest play and does not offer account sign-in.
• The app currently does not provide chat functionality.

6. Permissions

The app may request the following Android permissions:

• Approximate/precise location: required for GPS-based gameplay mechanics and nearby map/territory display.
• Internet: required to load map data and game-world data.
• Activity Recognition: required only if the player wants to sync device steps for Hero XP.

If location permission is denied, the app may use a fallback position, but location-based functions will be limited. If Activity Recognition permission is denied, the Hero step feature will not sync steps.

7. Storage and deletion

The random player ID is stored locally on the device and can be removed by uninstalling the app. Server-side game state or territory assignments may be technically necessary to provide the game.

8. Third-party services

OpenStreetMap or OpenStreetMap-related map services are used to display the map. When map tiles are loaded, technical connection data may be transferred to the relevant map service.
